Their sole aim is to enjoy girls and alcohol which they assume one gets in abundance in Goa. They end up having clashes with another group of boys from Hyderabad who are very hot headed. If they think that was their last encounter together, they have more clashes as they end up landing in the same hotel wherein only a single room is available for both of them. Now when that matter gets resolved, they end up having a fight over the same girl in the hotel night club. Frustrated by their constant skirmishes the two groups then decide amongst them that to settle the matter for once and all between them as to who is the real winner, they will have a deciding cricket match. Their two cocky hotel managers played by Sanjay Kapoor and Gulshan Grover come to know of it and taking advantage of this situation they decide to turn it around into a money making business. They arrange the match on a larger scale and also invite their hotel owner (Jackie Shroff) and his blonde assistant as the chief guest. So there we have a match between the two teams aptly titled Mumbai Vada Pavs and Hyderabadi Biryani. How a smart Sayali Bhagat decides to exploit this situation further and what more complications it all leads to forms the rest of the film. From the first frame of the film itself you are sure that the film ahead is going to be one helluva amateurish attempt at filmmaking. Corny one-liners, toilet humour, double innuendo jokes galore you name it you have it all. Pray why do they have to show five dudes pissing, so elaborately? Technically not a single department is worth a mention. Characterisations full of cliché, lack of imaginative screenplay, trivial matters given more importance makes one difficult to sit through the entire film. All the team members of both teams are newcomer boys who simply lack any acting skills. They haven’t been presented well either. We wonder what made Jackie Shroff, Sayali Bhagat and Sanjay Kapoor sign such an embarrassing affair. May be lack of good offers perhaps Our sincere request, don’t commit the mistake the above mentioned names have committed and stay miles away from this one even on Home Video.

Anna experiences strange visions in the new surroundings and soon it turns out to be a case of rebirth. Anna was Linda (Claudia Ciesla) in her past life who lived in the same vicinity and was killed, post the predictable rape attempt. Linda haunts her to trace the culprit and Anna is determined to solve the mystery. Not only is the reincarnation plot passé, the film also resorts to regular tricks of the trade in inciting horror. The standard setting of a couple coming to spend time in their ancestral royal mansion dates back to Ramsay’s ‘ dak-bangla ’ genre horror. The husband’s customary disbelief in his wife’s hallucinations is another common cliché and with so much conventionalism thrown in, the identity of the killer is certainly foreseeable. The father-son’s estrangement is never clearly established either. Technically, the editing is smart especially in the latter portions where the past and present run in parallel frames. The trademark disturbing camera movements for the spooky effect works well. The scenic hill-station of Ooty, however, could have been captured on the lens with more elegance than the camera’s confinements to its commercial bylanes. The performances are passable. Carlucci Weyant as the disbelieving husband carries the same straight-faced expression throughout. Vijayendra Ghatge repeats his royal-person act from Marigold . Claudia Ciesla lacks screen-presence, acting ability and comes without the much talked-about topless scene. Only Alma Saraci is worth a mention for her pleasing personality and ‘spirited’ performance. Karma is age-old Bollywood masala, simply served with a cross-country cast and setting. Even the Cannes consent mark doesn’t help.

Director:- Rajeev Nath Genre:- Social / Drama Release Date:- June 5, 2009 Plot: Directors like Sudhir Mishra and Zoya Akhtar have in the recent past tried to give an insider's view of the workings of the entertainment industry through their films. Director Rajiv Nath has tried to do the same with "Anubhav", which tries to underline that men are as vulnerable to sexual abuse as women in Bollywood. Though a thematically good film, "Anubhav" has not been executed properly, especially the first one hour. The only saving grace in the film is Sanjay Suri, who plays the title role. The scenes where Sanjay is shown grieving and regretting his decision to be a gigolo to save his newborn daughter are extremely touching. Gul Panag, who plays his wife, is good in the emotional scenes. Anubhav (Sanjay) is the brightest student of Mumbai's theatre academy but all his hopes of making it big in Bollywood are shattered when he fails to get a good break. For survival he starts playing bit roles. While looking for a foothold in showbiz, Anubhav bumps into Meera (Gul Panag), a business tycoon's daughter, and after a whirlwind romance the two tie the knot. Meanwhile, his classmate and buddy Aadi (Anoop Menon) manages to get a producer for his film, an adaptation of "Hamlet". He casts Anubhav in the lead and things go smoothly till the sudden death of the producer. The project is then shelved and there is no hope to complete it. At the same time, Meera develops some pregnancy complications and gives birth to an ailing child who needs to be operated soon. The sequence of events and the urgent need for money forces Anubhav to turn into a gigolo. Apart from Sanjay Suri and Gul Panag, the casting of the film could have been better. Jackie Shroff doesn't look convincing in the role of an acting guru and Meeta Vashisht does not impress as a successful, lonely doctor trying to find solace in the company of male prostitutes. The director has failed to exploit these otherwise talented actors properly. While Sudha Chandran, who plays a senior TV actress, looks convincing in the role of an aeging actress trying to exploit Anubhav, she she too is wasted. Nath has handled the emotional scenes pretty well, especially the climax. But the rest of the sequences are not so well executed and there are too many hiccups in the narrative. For instance, a scene where Shruti Seth confesses her love for Anubhav looks out of place. Music is an integral part of Hindi films, but there is nothing much to write about in the songs of "Anubhav". The cinematography is so-so. "Anubhav" could have done well with a tighter script, better narration and right casting. Watching "Anubhav" is not the experience one expected it to be.

So she engineers another plot. One so deadly that evens the Lord is powerless. Kokoi creates a situation in the house that Rameshwari herself asks Maruti to leave her and go away. And from then on life ceases to be anything but dark for Rameshwari. Evil forces threaten to engulf her. Her life becomes a seething mass of hellish and brutish demons and beings. Her father and her days are now, numbered. Or are they? Will Hanuman come back as Maruti to save Rameshwari? This in spite of the conundrum that Rameshwari herself forced Hanuman to take a vow on Lord Rama's name never to come back? Like all fairy tales, 'Maruti Mera Dosst' ends on a good note. Through many twists and turns, Maruti comes back to save the day and beat the bad guys. 'Maruti Mera Dosst' is an exceptionally entertaining film catering mainly to the kids. Apart from a great star cast, the film is packed with the right amount of action, adventure, state-of-the-art creature effects, animation and special effects. The film is about good against evil, about the super hero 'Maruti' against the evil forces that are trying to harm Rameshwari, his biggest fan and disciple. As they say, no one ever calls the Lord's name in vain!

Her plight acts as a reminder to the audience that Naani's mission is a race against time. And yet, this adventure has a positive effect on all the characters that get involved. Bridges are built, relationships blossom, lessons are learnt. The two squabbling teenagers fall in love, there is a whiff of a romance between Naani's divorced daughter and the dashing CID Inspector. Old Mr. Pal finds a renewed energy and interest in life. And of course, a lost 4-year-old little girl is finally re-united with her mother. This film has all the ingredients of an entertainer - humour, suspense, emotion and a bit of insight. Detective Naani is a film that will leave the audience feeling good.
